The future of the village was raised especially the proposed building on the allotments off of Sentry Lane and their effect on local service i.e. sewage, drainage and electrical supply.

There followed a discussion on the problems of flooding in the village, cllr. Shapland explained that storm flooding was a separate issue to the sewage problem both of which the Council have been trying to get action on but so far had been unable to get all parties concerned together.

The chairman explained that there was no more information on the proposed building project other than that in the North Devon Plan. Mr Macgregor asked if any information had been received on the Chestwood parking, as no progress was being made the clerk was asked to write to Mr Netherway and arrange a meeting as early in the new year as possible.

The council was to help in getting a disabled plaque put on the wall of the Post Office as the parking space was being abused.

The condition and the parking on the Village Green was raised, the chairman assured everyone that the matter was in hand.
