by the Parish Council providing seats, grass cutting, tree maintenance, landscaping, planting and the
provision of seating. The
Green has recently had an overhaul with the provision of large stones to
prevent parking on the grass. The base of the original village water pump has
been uncovered revealing an animal drinking trough. It’s full of concrete but
it intended to clear it out. At the front of the trough was revealed buff
cobble like stones but they have sunk
causing water to pool by the pump. We have covered the cobbles with buff
chippings as a temporary measure and when budgets permit these will be
removed and the cobbles taken up and reset. Topsoil has been imported which
will be seeded with wild flowers and grass seed when the weather improves. |
